Megabucks

Megabucks is the flagship lottery game in the Beaver State. To play, all you have to do is buy a ticket for $1 and choose six numbers from 1 to 48. Drawings take place on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays at 7:29 PM. If you match all six main numbers, you'll win the jackpot!

Lucky Lines

Fans of tic-tac-toe will love Lucky Lines, a great little draw game that offers a starting jackpot of $10,000 and up to eight ways to win per ticket.

Other Games

Other Oregon Lottery games include Keno, special Raffles and Video Lottery Terminals (available in select locations for players 21 and older).

You can also play Scratch-Its, instant-win games available from your local authorized Oregon Lottery retailer.

History of the Oregon Lottery

Established in 1984 as a way to add revenue to the faltering state economy, the Oregon Lottery quickly became one of the biggest revenue generators in the state. Sales started in April 1985 when the first instant win game, or 'scratch-it' was introduced. Oregon's Game Megabucks debuted in November 1985 and is still going strong today.

The Oregon Lottery previously offered a game called Sports Action from 1989 to 2007 as a way of funding college-level athletics and academic scholarships in the state. It was the first lottery in the nation to offer sports wagering by letting players bet on quarter scores and final game scores as well as significant events.

The Oregon Lottery continued to set the course for lotteries across America as it introduced the popular Video Lottery Terminals (VLTs) throughout the state. This was one of the first 24-hour centrally-managed video lottery systems that the country had ever seen!

For the first decade of the Lottery's operation, proceeds were allocated to economic development and the creation of jobs across the state. Since 1995, Oregon Lottery proceeds help raise vital funding for education and the preservation of natural resources, such as the state's native salmon habitat.
