Daily Lottery Games

Keno is a game that you play by yourself but the way you play and handle yourself in the Keno Lounge will and does have a huge effect on other people enjoyment while playing the game. In this article we will go over all of the things you need to know before venturing out to a Casino to play Keno. Lottery players can win from $2 to $2.5 million playing DAILY KENO. Lottery players can win up to $99 playing PICK-2. Jackpot for PICK-3 is based on the total number of tickets sold and is divided among the winners. Draw and instant tickets can be validated using a Ticket Checker or terminal located at any Lottery retailer in Kansas, or at the Kansas Lottery office in Topeka. They can also be checked using the Ticket Checker function available in the PlayOn Players Loyalty program mobile app. Draw tickets are valid for 365 days from the date of the drawing.

Daily lotteries are an easy way to add a little extra fun to your day. Whether you like to play a little, or a lot, there's no telling if your numbers will ever come up.

Daily games are draw-based lotteries that happen twice a day. Like weekly draws, the numbers you pick must match some of the numbers drawn.

Each daily game has its own way to play, but how you win remains essentially the same: the more numbers you match to the draw numbers, the more you win.

Breaking down a lottery ticket

Each daily lottery game comes with a ticket that acts like a receipt. Use it to check your numbers and see if you've won.

A. The Game: This is where you can see which daily lottery game your ticket is for. Learn more about each game here.

B. Advance Play: See how many consecutive draws your ticket is valid for.

E. The Line: This section displays your selected numbers. Pick them yourself or let the lottery terminal generate random numbers for you. If you play more than one line, or 'board' as they appear on the lottery selection slips, you'll see multiple lines on your ticket.

F. Encore. This section of the ticket shows 2 things:
1) If you added Encore to your purchase, it will say, 'Encore Played'.
2) Your separate set of Encore numbers for the Encore draw. Learn more about Encore here.

G. Ticket number
H. Signature line: To claim a prize, you must sign your ticket
I. Barcode: To see if you won, scan the barcode on your ticket using the ticket checker at a participating retailer; ask the retailer to scan the barcode at a lottery terminal; or use the OLG Lottery App.

The term 'keno' comes from French word, 'quine' (pronounced 'keen'), meaning 'five winning numbers.' Keno is the game to test your lucky numbers. Birth dates, anniversaries, ages, addresses, license plates, telephone numbers, time of day, room numbers, car mileage, flight numbers, sports stars, great historical dates..the possibilities are as endless as they are fun.

On any Keno game you can pick from 1 to 20 numbers and mark them on a keno ticket of 80 numbers (see below).

The player then takes the card to a keno writer and places a bet that the numbers selected will be among the 20 drawn in the next game.

After the 20 numbers are draw at random, winning tickets are paid according to a table that varies from casino to casino.

The player is paid out against his original wager based on how many numbers match the ones he marked on his ticket. For example, a four-spot ticket with $1 wagered might return the $1 if two numbers hit, bring $5 if three numbers hit, and pay $120 if all four come in. But in another casino, the three-number hit might pay $6 and all four $125, and in another the payoffs might be $5 and $110. Because of the variation, no payback percentage is common enough to be called average. Paybacks range from below 70 percent to more than 80 percent.
